Work Examples

KEMET Electronics Corporation: Three years with the company, retiring as SVP & CHRO; retained to continue services for the Board’s Compensation Committee and key Talent initiatives (Leadership Forum; Innovation).

MGM Resorts International: Reporting to the CEO of Mirage Resorts as SVP-HR when we were designing the recruitment and training plans for CityCenter, which involved a new web-based process in order to bring on 9,000 people in one 6-month period.

Vlasic Foods International: Planned the $1.5B spinoff from Campbell Soup Company as the VP & CHRO; supporting 8500 employees at 22 sites in 5 countries with 65 HR staff.  Opened and staffed a new HQ and a new corporate structure.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts: As VP-HR for the company, introduced a holistic Gallup approach to measuring Employee Satisfaction and Guest Satisfaction.  Introduced Performance Management and Career Development.  Implemented Hyatt University.

Mervyn's: As VP & CHRO had full HR responsibility for 230 stores, 5 Distribution Centers and 40,000 employees.  Managed 100 people and a $67M budget.  Upgraded the HR department; reduced Store Turnover by 1/4th to 57% and DC’s to 18%.  Led major field reorganizations.
